Rippit
Here’s the product of my frogging: 5 balls of Rowan Wool Cotton. I had a great frogging session with my yarn winder (wouldn’t have been half as much fun without it).
The yarn (and the other 5 or 6 balls in my stash) is destined to be a Lucy in the Sky cardi, a cosmic pluto knits design. It’s unlikely to be flying on to the needles any time soon, but I’ll enjoy thinking about it.
Things have also improved on the log cabin front. I’ve settled on using my 4 ply cotton stash, which is more voluminous than my DK. I have also rejected the individual log cabin square approach for the regular log-on-log approach. The blanket is for my lovely DB, so I’m going for masculine colours, which happily coincides with what I had.
This is how far I’ve got…
I met up with Anna today and she helped me get over my hump with the Giotto sock. It was entirely of my own making, and I don’t see why I had such trouble now. It’s handy having the designer a tube stop away when things get sticky! Anyway, hopefully I’ll have a pair of socks for you soon.

I love the colours you have chosen for your log cabin blanket – can’t wait to see how it’s progressing!
