Log cabin
Ok. I’ve decided that I’m going to knit a log cabin blanket inspired by the log cabin section in Mason-Dixon Knitting.
It’s going to be quite like *this* one, and I’m going to knit it in cotton. Ideally, I’d like it to have a zingy-coat-of-many-colours feel to it, but my cotton yarn stash doesn’t quite extend to that.
This is a cheeky request, but if you are a UK reader and have any left-over cotton yarn – just small bits which are only good for knitting a “log” or two – will you send them to me? If you leave me a comment, I’ll get in touch and post you an SAE. I will also include a very small giftette in return.
This is very bad of me because my stash is already of ridiculous proportions, but at least I can comfort myself by knowing that I’m reducing yours! It’s just my way of trying to reduce our overall stash mountain.
[Edited to add: Anything from 4-ply to DK/worsted weight would work!]

What weight do you want – DK?

I have a teeny-tiny bit of Cathay left over. I don’t know if you’d count that as cotton? And it’s the colour of Ribena – the label, not the actual drink. Let me know if you’re interested.

I have some light lime green Rowan cotton DK left over from a blanket project, and probably a bit of red too. I’m happy to pass it on to you
