All meat & bones
Jeez – my third post in one day. I guess it goes some way to making up for my relative blog-silence of late.
I forgot (how could I?!) to tell you about the absolutely fantastic Christmas presents (even if I do say so myself) that I commissioned for two people in my life who are particularly tricky to buy presents for – DB and my mum’s partner, J.
I was idly surfing the interweb some time earlier in the year when I encountered Regina’s great blog, Monster Crochet. Go visit, if you haven’t already gotten in touch with your inner monster. I spotted that Regina was open to commissions and I thought I may have a solution to my inevitable festive furrowed brow. I gave her some details about DB and J along the following lines:
DB -
“DB is really into his food, particularly organic, farm-sourced meat, so maybe we could look at a customised t-bone steak or something…”
The Meat Monster resulted. [I don't have any pictures of The Meat Monster yet. I'll post some soon!]
J -
“J is an orthopaedic surgeon, so I’m thinking you’d have the chance to try out another project with a medical angle, maybe a bone of some sort…”
Dr Frankenfemur resulted. Take a look at him *here*.
Thanks Regina! I was so pleased with them, and more importantly, so were the ultimate recipients!
