Knitting Hill

The inaugural meeting of Knitting Hill last Monday was great! About twenty or so people turned up and we were a pleasingly diverse bunch of knitters. The Earl is a a near perfect venue for this type of thing. The only downside was that the lighting was a little low, but we’ll see if we can rectify that. We had a couple of journalists in our midst (one from Kanal 24, a Norwegian radio station and another from the Grove, a local publication)

Anyway, we now plan to meet every Monday at 7.30pm. Pop by if you’re in the area!

OH! And I knitted my first pair of baby booties! They are really cute and they knit up so quick, which is good for a beginner-knitter like me. I’ll post a photo once I have found some appropriate buttons to fasten the strap (and when I have learned how to post photos!). I used the One-Hour Baby Booties pattern in Stitch ‘n Bitch Nation. I used Sirdar Nova Super Chunky in a raspberry and a deep denim blue colour. Lots of friends and colleagues are having babies, so I had better get good at these!

Email me if you want to know more about Knitting Hill.
